Frequently asked questions

Clear answers on how our formulas are made, sourced and tested. If what you need is not here, ask us — we answer everything.

Are minerals natural or synthetic?
When minerals are used as ingredients in nutritional supplements they can be in their original natural form, or they can be obtained by synthesising the original natural form to produce a more potent or purer version of that mineral.
What is the country of origin for Kappa Nutrition products?
Kappa Nutrition products are quality tested and manufactured in the United States using highly qualified cGMP manufacturers. We source raw materials from around the world, and every ingredient is subject to the same intensive testing and verification regardless of where it comes from.
Where are Kappa Nutrition products manufactured?
In the United States, in a cGMP-certified facility, where they are also quality tested.
What are your veggie caps made from?
Vegetarian capsules are manufactured using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), which is obtained from cellulose. They contain no materials of animal origin and are therefore suitable for vegans.
What are the "Other Ingredients" and why are they used?
Excipients, or non-active other ingredients, are used in very small amounts to improve appearance or manufacturing efficiency. The amount and type can vary from one production run to another, which is why the FDA requires manufacturers to declare that an excipient is present but not how much. Kappa Nutrition uses only qualified and tested ingredients, and requires conformance to all FDA-required cGMPs during manufacture.
How many capsules should be taken daily?
Take the product as the suggested use on the label describes. Where a label does not say whether items should be taken together or separately, either is fine unless the label states otherwise.
How long should a capsule or softgel take to dissolve?
For a two-piece gelatin capsule or a softgel, the USP standard for maximum dissolution time is 20 to 45 minutes.
